Okay, I don't know jack about Scotch ale*, other than it is my favorite beer by a long shot. I can't help wonder if there is a connection between my love of Scotch whisky and Scotch ale. Am I a closet Scot? Or have I just developed a strong preference for barley over many, many years of drinking? I am thinking the latter.
*My simplistic understanding of Scotch ale that it has a higher barley-to-hop ratio and longer boiling of wort, making it sweeter and higher in alcohol--how could that not be great?
What I consumed yesterday:
● 40 oz Second Sight scotch ale
● 2 slices Flying Saucer Spud'Nik pizza
● 50 ml Jim Beam whiskey
● 50 ml Jim Beam Devils's Cut whiskey
● Spaghetti w/ sauce, 2 meatballs, shaved parmesan, & 2 slices of garlic bread
● .7 cup Wine Cube cabernet/shiraz
